A life coach helps you with specific projects, personal goals or transitions in many areas of your life. A coach helps you grow by analyzing your current situation, identifying limiting beliefs and other potential obstacles you face and devising a custom plan of action to help you achieve the outcomes you want. And through that process, a coach helps to improve many aspects of their client’s lives such as self-awareness, communication and relationship skills, self-confidence, overall well-being, stress levels as well as helping them find their purpose, meaning and passions in life.
It’s important to note that coaching is not therapy. Coaching focuses on identifying life goals and provides guidance and support to reach those goals. It focuses on the present and future and “how” to work toward a goal. Therapy, or counseling, is a process in which a client works with a healthcare professional to diagnose and resolve problematic beliefs, behaviors, relationship issues, feelings and sometimes physical responses. The idea behind therapy is to focus on the past and “why” certain behavioral patterns occur. Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders or symptoms.
Many people want fulfillment in their lives but aren’t sure how to go about achieving it. People can be very successful, but that doesn’t mean they feel fulfilled, satisfied or happy with their lives. People are eager and excited to find work that is personally gratifying as well as a rewarding life that is full of joy and purpose. And coaching can help with all of that.
You don’t have to do anything to prepare. Just contact me and we’ll set up a free 30 minute phone call to get started. We’ll make sure that we’re a fit for each other and that coaching is a good approach for you. If so, we’ll schedule our first session. And in our sessions, we’ll discuss what areas you want to work on, gain clarity on your purpose and desires and then set goals together. Then there’s always time to celebrate your successes!
All sessions are virtual so you can schedule them at the most convenient time for you and from wherever you prefer to be. I do recommend finding a quiet space where you are able to focus during our sessions so you can get the most out of our time together.
